New Yamaha Explorer 540

Hiya all

I am looking for feedback on the new 540 yamaha explorer. Does anyone own one or has anyone been out on one? I Currently own the explorer SLC with a 130 V4 and am looking at upgrading to the centre console with two Yamaha 60's.

We launched at the shoot out last weekend and had a ball getting soaked, but soon realised that the deck layout is not condusive to any chop, also the SLC's bow sits lower in the water than the CC (different top decks) generating heaps more splash!!!.

I'm looking for any feedback regarding weight sensitivity, listing etc. Also my SLC with the 130V4 cavitates easily in a chop and seems sensitive to bow weight (1 guy in the bow effects the ride, plane, dryness completely)

I have been on the cc, only in Durban bay although the wind came up later and we got a bit of chop - awesome allrounder - the boat also had a 130(actually the same boat used in the SkiBoat test) nicely finished and great for the missus and lightweights at the dam or estuary but eaisly used for inshore gamefishing for couta, snoek etc.... it even has a well positioned livewell for those undersize shad that the couta love!!(we used it for an icebox for beers/cokes)
