Will be leaving the cold Vaal Saturday morning for Margate, to stay there for a week and then head to Winkelspruit for another.

Ordered and recieved this Loomis spinning rod from Mr. Khan at Rock Hustlers in Durbs, thanks for the great service sir! Recieved the rod in exellent condition ::S

Will let you guys know how my trip went, and when it's warmer again I will bully soms Cats in our Inland Dams with this rod.

Daiwa Opus Plus sporting new XX Hi-Viz line, and a Kingfisher .6mm Leader. Will use this reel on my new rod.

Dankie Kipi! Jong my kas is reggepak, lepels met Brasso skoongemaak en geskuur, traces met dik mono hoeklyne, traces met staaldraad ens.

Fillet mes geslyp ens.

Ek sien baie uit na my vakansie!

Thanks a million guys for all the feedback, been using Loomis Carp Rods for more than six years (Reasently upgraded to t 53's) and mine really worked very hard, this is a rod that I trust.

I will take it for a spin this week on the Schools Rugby Field (Teaching has some advantages):SSS

Here is a picture of the 3 sections. I thought the handle would be as long as a Carp Rod, but another fisherman informed me it is the length they are.

Looking good Brakkenjan!

Was in a fish processing factory today in PE...the owner got news that there were some good shoals touching down!

Good luck and I hoe that new outfit does the business for you!!

Brett haven't heard from you in a long time, thanks for the info. If I may ask:

When you hold the rod, the finger that puts preasure on the line, can you press the line down nearer to the first eye on the rod away from the reel. It feels if my hands are a bit close to each other.

Right hand at the top, left hand at the bottom (Maximum pulling power).

Wash the brasso scent off from those spoons! That scent will chase the fish.

Wash the spoons with Sunlight liquid and rinse thoroughly.

Hi Brakkanjan

I hold the line down with my left hand (finger) above the reel and put my right hand at the top as in your pic. You just need to swop where you holding your line

Hi Tackle! Cant remember what I payed for the reel but the rod was R700 including postage to Sasolburg.

 

Guys I have a question : I have a permit to angle, my son is 4 years old and he wants to spend some time on the beach with his dad. At that age must he also get a permit? Just want to make sure. Thank you guys! ;)
