New Outfit

I just got my new "allround" otfit and wanted to know what you guys think...
I wanna go plugging & popping, throw spoons & lures and do some jigging as well; offshore as well as rock & surf. (once a year, perhaps?)

The rod is a Kingfisher Poseidon Cobra Jig, 6'3" (150 - 300g)
and the reel a Quantum Surge SU50F with 300m of 80lb Rapala Titanium braid and 100lb Sufix Zippy leader.

Please let me know what you think...:wfish

Only problem i could foresee, will be throwing decent distance with 80lb braid,. its fairly thick and rod is fairly short. if I am not mistaken (I am no popping expert by any means) popping rods are a bit longer to allow the popper to be thrown further. If you doing more spooning, and throwing of lures than jigging, maybe downgrade the braid to 50lb or so. will help with distance.
maybe some of the more experieiced guys like Nepps can offer better advise,by he seems to have disapeared)
