new guy

Hi All:

I'm known as the "Ancient Mariner" . My kids gave me that nickname too many years ago to think about.

I'm hitting the big seven oh this octOber and am in retirement these last 5 years. Was an old commercial pin hooker  and dragger and lobsterman and off bottom culture OYSTER grower. Wow, lots of stuff I did. Hadn't thought of it that way. Oh well.

I now live in Florida these last 5 years. Couldn't take the CCOOLLDD winters up north.

I sold all my gear and moved down here, BUT, I still miss fishing every day.

To me a day without the ocean is a day in hell.

I now build and sell fishing lures to sportsmen .

I give seminars at fishing shows up and down the east coast of the USA and Europe(when I can get over to the UK). These seminars cover everything from how to find your correct trollling boats trolling sped to trolling lures in teh CORRECT places in your boats wake. hy and where to get TUNAS to stay in yor spread. How to troll and chumm/chunk sportfish.

I"M NOT A GRAMMARIAN, so be easy on my spelling as my fingers tend to type MULTIPLE keys at one time.AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

If I can convince S.W.M.B.O. ...aka...She Who Must Be Obeyed, to get over to your countries, We'll do it next winter(our winter). I want to explore and fish some of the glorious fishing you all have.

Questions:

Do you use Teazers out in front of your trolling lures?

 "                                                                          baits?

Do you chumm with live or dead bait?

Do you chunk with bait? IF so whats your reasons for chunking the way you do?

I have my own theories tha have worked for me just about all over the world, except off your waters. I really would like to see the difference in your ways of fishing.

'Nuff about me, I'll just lurk around a bit and see what turns up. I will try and answer any questions you have,BUT, PLEASE don't mind if I ASK questions in return.

Gotta go now. I want to get out about 20 miles offshore and try to catch a few MAHI.

'Till next time:

Welcome and hope we can learn, will be interesting I'm sure. You seems to have a good quality life, nothing to complain about. How did it go with the Mahi, did you get any, how do you guys target them that side.

HI:
A commercial pin hooker is a guy who uses a rod and reel to commercial fish for a living. From Tuna to bottom fish were all unlucky enough to fall for my fishing ideas and techniques.
