New GoPro Flat Lens Dive Housing HUGE improvement

I got my ordered new GoPro Dive housing today (R540) Just a quick underwater test in the kitchen zink already shows a huge improvement. Hope the weather plays nice this weekend for a real test.

Most probably a good middle ground, you mind find the flat lens not well suited for applications like on a RC plane of a helmet cam.

I've been selling Go Pro's for a few years now and Go Pro never started out as an underwater camera but more as a camera that was waterproof... many companies made replacement lenses and finally Go Pro came to the party with a great new housing....
Hope you are going to be posting some spearfishing vids soon!

used the flat lens on a mates go pro of dassen few weeks back and was awesome! dolphins also came up to check it out! very clear and nice out the water too..

Awesome,

was wondering if I should get one, now it is a given, been diving with the standard lens about 12 months now, but sometimes the 'fisheye look' is irritating.

The standard housing that the Go Pro comes with is waterproof to 60m but due to the dome shaped of the lens it's out of focus underwater and you need to get the corrective housing which is R550....
