New Brighton Pier

Hi guys

 

I have never liked the idea of fishing of the pier but I am desperate to get a pull as I've been fishing hard lately without any show...  So I have a few questions:

1)  Where (which direction) and how far should I cast?

2)  Are there bricks or reefs on the water on which I'll snag on casts?

3)  How safe is it to fish there?

some structure at 80m and then again at 150m

Fairly safe just do not fish on your own
Flash have slept there and I have fished it on my own just keep your eyes open also do not park at the top drive down .

Thanks for the reply Mango, I'll give that spot a try some or other time.  I'm just not keen on losing tackle...
