New Boat Owner

Hi Guys,

I have recently bought a little Invader 14.6F cash. Now i have a valid Bouyancy certificate 5 years, i have bought all the CAT C safety equipment. And i wil be doing my skippers C course in April.

I am new to this, what is the next step? My boat has no numbers? Will i get issued a number when i get my skippers? Do i have to get her Seaworthy by someone, what do i have to do next?

As i say i am new here and i know this might be dumb questiones to the veteran guys. But i have no clue where to go from here?

Can anybody assist.

Hi Pap

You will need to get the boat surveyed by a SAMSA inspector in order to get your COF. You will be issued with the number along with your COF. One of yur local boat shops should have someone who can do the inspection for you...

Your number will be issued when you receive the COF (Certificate of Fitness).

Your best bet and easiest way is to join a club. Perhaps look at Nomads. Great club and it's always nice to be part of a club of like minded guys who will share fishing info.
