I just bought a 18,6 Ft Phantom Craft. But I don't really have any knowledge of this kind of boat. All I know is that Magson's Marine use to be the manufacturer of this HULL. If anybody maybe use to own or still own a Phantom Craft PLEASE I need to know what I'm in for and I REALLY REALLY NEED ADVISE.

Hi Barry. I don't have a problem with the boat, I just want to know how the boat runs and if the two 85hp Yamahas I bought are enough power for that boat and who ever have a boat like this to tell me if it's a good sea boat and how it performs on sea and can it take rough seas. Because this boat are in a beautifull condition and still original condition. There's not one patch anywhere on this boat. I have attached a pic of the boat. Can you please ask your friend Jason to e-mail me some pics of his boat. E-mail: janatubuilders@yahoo.com

Thanx Barry

Regards

2 x 85 Yamaha's should be fine on that boat . You can play with the prop sizes to make the performance different . We had very similar boat for commercial purposes in Mozambique with 2 x 85 Yamaha's and had no problems for many years .

a mono hull with chanels like that should handle like a dream. a slight bit of rolling when on drift or anchor. No or very litle broaching on following sea, and handles rough sea like a dream. You going to get wet with the centre console, but defnitely would get back home on a rough day. 2 x 85 is going to suck your pockets but you wont be in the hind courter of the pack.  I love it. CONGRATS!!!
