Hey guys my one swaer wants to get himself a grinder setup pref 12foot 3 piece 3 ounce with maybe braid as mainline he wants to spend r1500 in total I've had a look at my fav tackle store and am not too sure as I don't know much about grinders ,obviously a hmg rod and braid is not too good .
What do u guys think I'm going with him to help him decide

I love my 12ft loomis 3oz bud . Throws 4oz + bait lag lag.


A good size 5 - 6000 grinder . Exceller , BG , shimano sedodona , spheros


My choice grinder would be a spheros 6000


Budget wise , look for the sedona . The rod should not be more than 550

Ja I checked the loomis spinning 12 foot can get it for 440 but its hmg and my swaer is rough on his tackle ,the sedona was my choice for him
Will have to let him decide what he's comfortable with
What other makes come in spinning styles ? Want to put 30pound casting braid on for him

30lb casting braid is too thick for grinders

Go Jerry Brown 20lb or if u want 30lb, and it can take more punishment than most other braids

Sensation shad is a nice rod for the price

Reels, if he can afford it take the Spheros
