My quest for an african giant threadfin

Hi everyone, I have written up a report on my recent trip to Kwanza river lodge in Angola, where we went in search of trophy african giant threadfin on soft plastics and light spinning gear. It was an epic trip and we caught some amazing fish. Click on the below link to read the report.

Nice one @Tommo, I read your report on fishtube a couple of days back and enjoyed it plenty. I enjoy reading about your fishing adventures, thanks for sharing!

Brilliant report Craig! And congratulations with that 50 kg+ specimen!

Your struggle to get bites, and to hold on to fish that you did manage to hook, is a good lesson to all of us. Just enjoying it without putting to much pressure one self, combined with never giving up, is key!

Thanks guys, it was an epic trip! I had a chat to the Lodge owner, Rico Sakko, and the lodge management about the perception  among South African's that our fishermen are not all that welcome at Kwanza. They assured me that this is not the case, and that they are very keen to host South African fishermen. Check out their web site for details on their rates and fishing, I think their rates are pretty good for such an exotic location!
