My PB barbel

A couple of days ago, I went fishing at a local dam near my house. I got to the dam and threw in 3 lines. 2 or these were specimen lines and the other was a barbel rig with a head from a kurper that I caught there.

10 minutes after I casted them in, I got a nice run on the barbel line. I hooked the fish and fought her for about 5 minutes only to discover a PB of 6.1kg Barbel. Lovely day out. Anybody interested in the exact location, PM me.

Nice size catfish there!

I know this little dam quite well.

Have caught catfish on earthworm and lures via calling there.

Rather try and use some of the smaller carp in the dam as bait instead of the small vlei kurpers - there are way more carp than vlei kurpers in that dam ... so it makes sense in a way.

Well done on you pb. Congrats. If I'm not mistaken you must be the third or forth Sealiner that has caught a pb this year alone. I smell the winds of change in Catfishing for the Sealiners this year, lol.
