My New PB kob

Ive been very busy at the Estuary. There are many challenges. We have recovered a number of nets of late. The removal of undersized fish by bank and boat anglers is also a huge problem. If they only know what damage they cause. The tag return I mentioned just speaks for itself. They cob was undersized and released. It ended up in another Estuary which means its has been to sea. There is avery strong chance it spawned while at sea.

Glad to see back on the water for a change. A friend caught a tagged fish the weekend at Kromme that was tagged in the Gamtoos May 2008. It measured 465mm then and was 745mm when it came out Friday. It was free 623 days and grew 280mm. Growing more than 1/2 a mm per day.

Good to see that they are coming out. I hope that they will be in the surf soon and the Leeries aswell. Got  my PB Leerie at Gamtoos last year and need to improve on thgis one. Want to start targeting Kob and Leerie on Circle hooks now with live bait.
