MY NEW BABY!!!

a month or 2 ago, i bought two purglass 400/3's, the one ive kept for kob etc, but i had special plans for the other one... so, off came 24cm of tip, and i fitted a cheap tip just to get a feel for the rod's action... i was really surprised! it still mooered a 7 once, and it pulled 2 spotties out the water,(vra mar vir oom koper!)

so, last week is saw Pringle's post regarding some rods he did, and it really impressed me. to make a long storie short, i gave him my rod on thursday, and it was ready on saterday.. cleaned up blank, new PROPER EYES AND PROPER TIP, hot new blue binding, and a personal touch naming the rod spottie, also adding a velcro grip.

it looks great, and feels even better.

dit het die swart en rooi binding gehad, en op sy aanbeveling, het ek die blou gevat, wat ek dink die regte keuse was.
so ja, die naweek hopelik n paar spotties trek!

Nee ek dink nou het jy n gevaarlike stok daar beet! Daai srok sal n bronzie borrelsiekte ge! Hy voel ook seker nou baie beter met die dunner grip?

ou stinkie , so what did you do to the rod ?

 did you shorten it tip side , or butt section side ?

I have a 400/3 , one of the Old executive jobs that Mango gave Me , and I want to re-do it as Well , but i don't Know what precisely TO , do- but i Wanna do Something !!

yes, also the executive 400/3. Shortened from the tip down, 24cm. And it cast very very well. You must see how thick the wall of the tip is. Hy trek n spottie dat hy poep!

Net n plesier! Eks bly jy is tevrede met die stok! Die nuwe ogies sal baier beter diens gee, dis darm regte Fuji's . Die stok is nou ook n klein bietjie ligter nou dat die vet grips af is. Ek dink daai stok sal n 8oz laat verdwyn. Geniet hom!

ja, dis n stukkie nogal, maar ek gaan hom meestal maar gooi ase en op die riwwe gebruik. sal woensdag n oordentlike report gee! gaan hom biekie laat werk.
