Guys if you go to Maizey Plastics, they have all sorts of speciality vinyls available. The manufacturing brand is Grafitack (German). I notice that the previous 'glitter' colours are from the manufacturing brand Oracle or Avery and just from personal experience Grafitack is a far more superior product than Oracle.

Just to add, I've used reflective glass beads before and what I was thinking, is if you dipped your lures into clear varnish or something similar then just sprinkle the beads on afterwards, wouldn't that work better than sticking vinly onto them?

Hi Zulu,

I think it depends on how long before you fish you stick the vinyl. After a while it becomes very difficult to remove. If you stick it now and go to fishing directly then you have to rub it on very firmly. Some of my spoons I put some holo paper on still has it on, many many many times dragged through the water and plenty of fish from it too.

The longer it remains on the better it sticks.

You clean it with benzine if you want to take it off. Leave overnight so the glue begins to dissolve and work it off from there. Benzine is dangerous to work with, skin absorbs it very quickly.

You must be carefull using the heat gun, I suspect your holographic paper may become hollowgraphic instead :-o

Vinyl is extremely durable, remember all the signs you see all over are mostly vinyl, never seen any of it come off. Worst case they become cracked in the sun after years of exposure. Chances of your lure seeing that much sun is slim.

Unless a sun fish swallows it of course ;-)
