Bryan, welcome to the family, bru! You've got some nice toys there, yessir!

I've also got huge gaping holes in my butt(and bank balance) where the DS-bug 'happed' me. :doh Anyway, the new range of Slam baits has just been launched, and is much cheaper than the Berkley stuff. Haven't tried it yet, so I can't say how it works. It apparently also features "fishy hormones" to attract the finny fellows. Hopefully somebody will let us know if it does the trick!

As we always say on Sealine - use the search option often - you're sure to find what you're looking for.

Enjoy the stay!

hey guys

yeah they are a lil bit cheaper hey but i mean still a good knock on the pocket if you think about it, i mean its pretty much one bite one plastic whether the fish is on or nt doesnt matter, but thats enough complaining..

I dont care what anybody says dropshot has got to be the most exciting way of fishing i have ever tried..

Another thing i have found is that the fish seem to prefer gulp to realistix, and that might be where the price difference comes in. Look if you work a realistix bait properly the fish will take it but with a gulp it literally hits the water and you count

OOONN!!

I'm looking at gtting that tunny ski from chris gonna try dropshot off of it will let you guys know. If you dont hear back from me i have obviously fallen of the ski and the gulp pheramones released into the water created a feeding frenzy and a shark got me!

I've used the Slam baits. I think the Berkley Camo worm has the edge on there Cargo worm. The Slam Jerkshads however have produced just as well as the Berkley powerbait and Gulp. The Slam is avtually softer than the Gulp and has a better action. The down side is that the Slam also has more action in the air when you cast and you loose a few metres on the cast. The Slam also seems to have a "skin" that is inclined to peel a little.
The Slam is backed by Rapala and I rate it very very close to Berkley. I'm equally confident with a Slam or Berkley minnow imitation but the worms etc I still prefer Berkley.

Slam should be a few rand cheaper and you get 1 or 2 extra in the packet. In E.L. we pay about R 80 for Slam and R90-R110 for Gulp.
