my 1st carp

Ive been fishing for carp for 4 years and made it my ultimate fishing goal to catch my 1st carp as i had only caught my 1st one last year after struggling for three years! and not only did i get the joy of catching my 1st carp,but,on that particular day,i was fishing in an all species competition,and took 2nd place(R1500)with that carp!

Well done, Bidmar dam is a very difficult place to catch carp unless you fish at night and with quite a long line. Up to 15m viz in that water.

not a good place to be a small carp amongst thos big bass

Well done on the nice fish and better still that it pocketed you R1500

unfortunately not,but we are actually going on an over night trip there tomorrow,and my main target is barbel,so we'll see what happens

nope.i gave up on that place a long long time ago.if i still fished there i would have never caught my 1st carp.haha.

Was talking to my girl's dad today.. he live's up the road from Midmar Dam.. in 'Howick' that's where my girl is from..

He say's they have been pulling big Catfish out this past 2 week's well over 30kg's!! Just before dark and first light.

I'm going to try Midmar when I'm over next.

hi,guys just wandering if you could give some advice
iam a rookie but have been cathing for a while now.But looking for a easy dam to catch because my biggest probleme is blanking:swear:swear..just want a nice dam where theres good fish(hopfuly big ones)and what wil be the best bait..because there is so meny choices...tiger nuts,boilies,floatis,mielies,degies,and someny dips toe?????and wil be making (voerplek)thebest option???best dam for me so far was kosmos..roodeplaat no good..?blank to much..please guys just need help..and eny advice wil be great.
