Yesterdays 2h session got 3 carp and one fat winter kurper. Bait used plain white bread and earthworms.

Brushog holding one of the carp. Got it just under the branches in the background. Fish are in realy good condition this one probably around 3.5-4kg mark.

Sounds like you guys had a awesome session, well done.

You can never go wrong with bread when float fishing.

So what method do you guys use when you float fish? Is your bait suspended mid water is it on the bottom?

This is the first carp I caught at the session, a first for me on float. It was a ghosty, gave a good fight for its size.

Went to another little dam nearby for an afternoon session. Brushog Got a nice carp and a koi. First koi I've seen in this dam to date.

Brushogs carp...a well conditioned specimen!

This one kept me bussy for atleast 25min, took the bait and ran 20m flat before I was able to turn it, or for that matter it decided to duck for the water grass. Estimated at 7kg...

I got the shirt at Mias here in Woodmead, they got all different kinds for salt and fresh.

Guys those are nice specimen, very good condition! I wish I had more time to get sessions in. Currently I get maybe 1 or 2 sessions in 2 week intervals. Im jealous...lol.

DJP, Did you get that one on the fly rod? If so I would believe that it kept you veeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy busy! Well done boet.

Brushhog dont worry about the hair, it will at least keep your ears worm on those cold days. I have none boet, thats why the sun is shining I have a beani on! lol.

Het darm karpie van so 2kg gevang....

I'm mostly on the specimen section but has recently "surfed" other sections like Artlure, Barbel, etc. Never imagined what went on in this section till now. I enjoyed all the threads and are definately going to put my hand to this facet as well.

Well done on all your threads. Some nice ideas from Durbanville guy (Dirk - Somerset Sports???)

Keep it up as I will most definately pop in more often.

Me and Hannes101 made a quick 1h session this afternoon. Got two chubby carp and a Kurper.

Made a short session this afternoon when the wind died down. hannes101 and I took a fly rod and float rod each to one of my favorite dams. We got a carp, 2 catfish and a bass. We had a double up with me landing the carp and Hannes101 the cat, Some pics to follow...

Small cat that I got, must have ran me through at least 15m of reeds (the other fish where caught on fly so I'm going to post under different sections)
