Done a couple of sessions over the last few weeks and have come to one conclusion. High attractant paste wrapped around boilie has out fished any hook bait I have used to date, even bread!!!!!!
I got a recipe from a guy I have been in contact with based in the UK who does both static and match fishing and fishes only this method of bait presentation and it has never let him down.
If fishing static use 18mm boilie up and when match fishing use 16mm down, The paste must be a thin layer covering the boilie and must be ultra sweet with a very fishy spicy flavour, colour in bright yellow or white. The boilie can be your choice of flavour because basically the paste breaks down after about 10 minutes in the water and surrounds the hook bait and all the flavour and sweetness pulls the carp in.
I will report back after a few sessions on this boilie and paste recipe, I have fished this method with static fishing in winter and it made the difference between going home cold with nothing on the bank and catching carp as if it was summer.
All I can say at this stage is RED LIP MUSSEL POWDER!!!!!! I cant find green lip mussel yet but red lip will do.
