Funny how the same method gets developed by different people for different things!

I've been using the syringe for years...but for punching floating crusts. never even considered it for a hair rig! Nice one!

I'll be home for the first time in 3 months on Thursday and those fishes are in trouble!

Anyone on here trotting the rivers for yellows yet? It works a treat especially with crickets as bait.

Hello Lunker,

I see that you live in Sunninghill, I stay in Paulshof. I used your punched bread rig yesterday in one of the dams in the city, and probably lost one of the biggest fish I ever hooked! It ran me into some reeds and broke me of, I didn't expect such a big fish. My girlfriend got a nice barbel on the rig too.

It seems to work great in these city dams where people feed the ducks with bread!

Great post! Question? Do you  put any dip or flavor on the bread or just use it plain?

Im going for a day and nite fishing trip 2 morrow and going to try this method out but thinking of spraying some dip on the bread!

Went fishing at Ruimsig! Caught 2 Carps between 2-3kg and one 5KG on the plain bread. Works like a dream. Had a monster run at 04h00 on tigernut that broke my line grrrrrr.

Hey there could you identify the dam you lost this monster? I also live on the east rand ' And thinking of punching some secret receipts brown bread??

I saw this in one of the UK sites.
To flavour this bait pour some mootie onto the sliced bread and leave to dry. punch 1 plain 1 flavour until thickness wanted. Going to try in Vaal River this weekend.
