More Yellows, less muddies?

Going to Vaal (Silwer Strome) again on Saturday to target some yellows ...woohoooo!! ::S

I've got a question though ....last weekend, I've caught a HELlllllll of alot of muddies, but only one yellow ... was targeting the deeper holes a bit, where the water was not as fast mooving as in the shallow rocky rapids .. was using the orange hotspot PTN as well as the orange and red head Brassy ...

Any ideas on what I could do, to target more yellows and less muddies?? ... maybe move more to the shallow rocky rapids? ... maybe use a different fly? ...

Fish closer to vegetation. Try and get your flies right under the willow trees if possible.
Are you Czech Nympying? Upstream nymphing?

Czech Nymphing with a strike indicator (with about 1.5m of line under the indicator, so more than enough line to let the fly reach the bottom ....also has a splitshot to help the fly sink) .... maybe I should try the method without the indicator?

Nope stick with the indicator - With Czech you will be able to target the trees more easily - upstream Nymphing is tricky when targetting trees.
Try a Different venue - further down stream - Elgro or similar - may make the difference - I know for a fact less muddies
