Mono versus Braid

Hi

I would appreciate some opinions from experienced specimen anglers out there.

When fishing waters containing dense watergrass which mainline would you prefer, mono or braid and what leader would you use?

I recently switched over to Braid but need to know which conditions are better suited for it's use ?

Mono with a thick mono leader is safer for fish in thick grass.

Thanks, it makes sense as braid tends to cut into snags and mono usually rubs against structures in the water. The other option would be to add a long flouro or mono leader to braided mainline, but I agree it would be safer to use mono.
