A view of the dam wall... We caught plenty of fish against the pynon in the middle. Apparently the dam record was caught there as well.

Me with a nice fish of 2,2kg. This fish also put up a very good fight! It kept going down for ages!

IS that the camp site?
IS it safe there?

Yeah we felt safe. There was always a guard at the gate. They have a few places where you can get signal for Vodacom.

Here's the gate.

The dam is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by game farms that have lions on them!

Still need to make it to this one.....
Then stop growing and there'll be space for  me on your rig (boat, remeber this is a family site) too...... that way we can make it happen for the period mentioned or a couple of days close to those dates.

Know this is an old thread, but there is a mention of crocs, what’s the risk of fishing Mokolo off a fishing kayak?

Edit: I’ve been informed it’s not a wise move by a Mokolo regular 😀 will have to save for that boat
