So me and Moztoppie had a quick run to milli this weekend. Got The Rand Lover packed and left Saturday morning armed with the knowledge from internet weather sites that it will be a great fishing weekend. On the way we got some rain and decided to push through in any way. ( the internet said mild winds and no rain)Got to Milli in overcast not so mild wind conditions. Set up our overnight camp rigged the rods packed our skis and decided to launch even though it was midday and not the best time.

We had a head on stronger than mild wind and struggled against it halcos in tow to get to our spot passing the 18m mark nothing 20m Line peeling and the sound of braid trough the eyes of the rod It was on.Nice fight and landed a good sized yellowfin tuna.

The old man was struggeling against the wind and soon he was on as well another yellowfin. not long and i went tight again and had a good sized kawa kawa. I lost the old man and went looking for him still pulling lures Run and Bite off. rigged up ten paddle strokes ZZZ on fight and a good sized couta. Saw The old man had beached and the wind have picked up I too decided to beach. He got another yellowfin on his way out.

Sunday morning we had one of the most difficult launches i have seen at mill ever. The old man did not get out and stayed on the beach. I decided to have a quick paddle pulling lures again and what a great morning same MO as Saturday and by eight o clock i beached and had caught 2 yellowfin and 2 couta. A very worthwhile morning. Packed up and was at home by 2 o clock.

The fish was wild and everything was caught on halcos. i did not even have time to put out baits.

Until next time
Cheers

Ja, Malboer said it all.
The quick bash to Mili paid off.
The head wind and large swells made it quite difficult to keep up with the strong paddler but after all got two nice yellowfin on Rapala and a burn off on my gaff with a nice sized Couta.

Sunday morning with the Eastern still blowing I failed to launch and started dismanteling the rods and braking camp.

Thank you Malboer for another unforgettable trip.
(What are you doing next weekend ????)
