hi were is the best spot for fishing for galjoen around millers point and wat trace and bait would be good? was thinking of going on saturday on the rocks in front of the main slipway

If that is Millers Point in False Bay, there is a marine reserve there.
The Millers Point reserve is from (and this is to be on the safe side) the rocks at Millers Point to 100 meters south of the rocks on the northern side of Smitswinkle Bay.
The reserve stretches out for a mile off the land. No anchoring or bottom fishing may take place in this area.
So your only place to fish would be north of the rocks at Millers or south of the rocks mentioned on the north of side of Smitswinkle Bay. There is a beacon on the road above this point near Smitswinkle, I think it marks the reserve or maybe it is just a survey beacon?

Hello brah, sorry I am not experienced enough to give advice on catching Galjoen. Search the forum, there must be pages of info, or someone else will be along shortly with more knowledge. 
Edit: This Saturday looks OK. Why not park above Smitswinkle and fish those rocks on the left of the bay. The South Easter should have churned up the water by then?

sorry but i dont get were u mean i must fish in front of smitwinkle i had a look on google earth but no clue.hopefully u have a pic or something
Hello brah,
There is no road that will take you down to Smitswinkle Bay, if you are travelling from Millers towards the Cape Point Reserve, there is an almost 90 degree bend on the road just before Smitswinkle Bay and on the right-hand side there is a small parking lot.
You have to walk down the side of the mountain to get to the rocks below. Perhaps it may be better to fish this spot on another day when you have someone with you that knows the area to buddy along with you.
Most of the Galjoen as far as I know are caught on the Atlantic side as the prevailing swells break against that headland and create the churned up water the Galjoen like to swim in. The False Bay coastline and along the Millers side is generally too calm for Galjoen. Don't be fooled that they dont swim around these areas, I am just not sure you will catch them there.
However this is why I suggested that position at Smitswinkle as the South Easter pumps straight onto it and should churn up the desired conditions.
You could simply park your car at Smits, walk across the road and check below as to the conditions, something only a seasoned Galjoen fisherman would know. If too flat, then rather venture into the Reserve and fish the Atlantic coastline. Check where the guys park, make friends, see what the other guys are doing.
