Hey guys well got back home a few hours ago from a long weekend at mazzeppa went with a few mates and met some new ones
Thursday morning upon arrival it was a case of blitskreig offload and make a beeline for the island to get some big baits out there where 4 of us namely me burned off shaun and andries
We fished from 10-4 and only one pull on burned offs chokka slide getting burned off lol !
My swaer and I managed to catch a few blactail which we released into a pool as they where going for a early morning swim the next day
That night it was apparent the fishing was tough
The next morning in the dark we hit the island and sent out the kollies mine hardly hit the stopper and a little bugger hammer started harrassing it so I pulled it out and slid it again
Hell the little hammer came back so out came the poor blacktail minus some scales and a couple new piercings
Then shauns chokke slide went vas with a hammer witch lucky for itself came off on the front ledge because burned off had run for the swimbait rig
The west then started humming so we turned to the left side of the island and put fresh baits out
Bout half an hour later my secret special bait went tight with a monstrous bag
After a spirited tussle we landed a beauty bag 1290cm pcl (swimbait)
At least my new stick has been bled
I decided to go fish for eds and as I had promised my swaer off we went
We decided on a nice sheltered gully at cable rock and got to work with our scratchies
That session gave a yellowbelly and a great 84cm fl piggy for my swaer (and he released it )
That night we decided to walk to shelly beach and hunt blues
Even raycats team battled at shark point so for me ineds was out
So we get to the spot early and fished till lunch time
Managed a few fish including a 47cm fl blue fish
That eve we went and threw lures in a blind river but only had a few chases and boils from snapper and river bream
@ burned off was lekka meeting u and the boys well do it again soon
Ps tell shaun to fix the smoke wagon propperly
