Maxel Reels serviced

Good evening All.

Here are some Maxel reels i serviced.

Two x sealion 20 jigging 2 speed models, then a 50W sealion the size of a 50W Tiagra and a 80W the same size of the 80 equivalent in the other brands.

There is a huge 130 i am busy with but more on that one later.

This brand of reels is really well built and great value for money as well. Have a look at the internals, look at the frame thickness, the gears sizes and quality of manufacture, the shaft diameters, the double dogs on the 50W and 80W, the thickness of side plates, the ratchet plates, the anodizing, the bearing sizes all important things when looking at tackling huge fish in the deep and one wants durability.
Both main and pinion gears are made of stainless steel, the gears are nice ratio 2 speeds also, the handles are well made and the anodizing good also.

The back up service from Gary at Maxel is second to none.

I encourage you to have a close look at the product and see that it is well made and absolutely great value for your money.

There are lots of photos on my face book page as well.

Enjoy the post

It was only a matter of time till a chinese manufacturer starts making premium goodies, they're factories have been making the stuff for the bigger brands for ages..

How many seasons have the maxels that you have worked on, been used for? What do you reckon on their longevity?

that right Serra Moz the maxel are enjoying a very good reputation in SA. They have been used on recreational boats and on commercial and charter vessels with great success.
