Maritzburg Boyz Part 2

So, after their last successful trip with me, the Maritzburg Boys returned…this time to try out an inshore trip!  We arranged to leave at 12:00 mid-day.  The weather forecast was going to be good, the NE blowing up to 12 knots and the swell getting up to 2 meters.  Water temperature was clocked in at 20.5 Deg.
So, after getting everyone on board, we headed to the marks for some bottom fishing.  After finding a good showing on the finder, I put out the pick to keep us on the mark.  The current was moving quite fast, so it was out with the big leads…Baited up and ready to go - I noticed that one or two of the guys were turning a light shade of Green… but this didn’t seem to deter them!  They were keen to get fishing… So with a few jokes about keeping it off the boat, they sent their first baits down, and straight away we could feel the bites…small - but they were bites!  The first fish on the boat was a small under-sized Englishmen…which we quickly released...followed by a good few Red Snappers, but also all under- sized.  Things were getting interesting… a couple of more attempts and we managed to get the first sizable Snapper on board...soon followed by a bigger one!  Then we had a change of catches from Banana Fish to Makrel and, would you believe, a Flying Fish!?  The conditions started to worsen and the guys started breathing heavy in an attempt to keep their composure!  However, for one person who shall not be named…I have to say, thanks for the new paint job, not sure I am going to keep it though!!!
Again guys…Thanks for the great trip, it was a pleasure having you on board again…I look forward to the next trip!
