Hi All

I’m going to Mapelane for the Easter weekend for some jetski fishing. How is the launch and fishing in the area?

Any advice on where to target livebait, any good fishing spots?

 

Who will be there this coming weekend?

Im also going to be at Mapelane for the easter weekend.
My questions are simlar to yours,but I'll be fishing from a kayak.

Launch is easy from the bay at Mapelane. Turn right after rocks at the bay and put out your lures.

Head past lighthouse and keep trolling towards the Jolly Rabino wreck and back.

Try a Clark spoon on one rod and whole sard (couta trace)on the other. Springbok Rapala also works well there. Live shad still tops though.

Only went out on Friday...6kg king & 5 kg tuna.
Other days windy

We were there from Thursday untill Tuesday. We got two nice Raggies and a Shad of 3.8kgs. I'll do a post with the pictures later. PC I think I spoke to you and your wife on the beach ?

Yes...please post some picts.....id like to see that shad...the head was huge

I did a post under fishing reports, the picture realy does not do the fish justice. Stuart slid the head out the next night and got a nice raggie.
