now you's making me green with envy, so wish I could go with, I thought of hitting "that place" on Sunday but it's off to vodaworld as per Boss's instructions eish, anyhow I might then look at Sat afternoon just depending on the time spent burning the credit cards at the expo and then the time it takes to gett all the stuff on the cruiser.....

But you's know what DADUCKY looks like so if you see me cruising down the bottleneck from the launchpad, give me a shout, and if your's is faster than mine and you wanna join, then a tow would be appreciated.....:lol:1:lol:1:lol:1

Was thinkin of going to Roodekoppies Sunday - this may change - heard the guys are wacking the bass(kg +) and humongous barbel.

The Vodaworld thing is 4 the Kid who has to be outfitted with some new contract etc etc. so Saturday afternoon seems like the only real possibility for fishing, but that all depends on the time we get to leave the expo.....  Sunday it's hitting the Bosses kind of shops, so fishing on Sunday is as far gone as well, I won't go......

So perhaps sat, will check what happens..

If anybody catches a barbel with Halco Lure dangling from its lip in Roodeplaat - Its mine. Went fishing with Ryan on Saterday and managed to hook into a Barbel only to be broken off - but alas I shall return and Hunt him again

Who caught the bass you or Ryan?  I went out today and had a look for your mermaid, but with the wind blowing us out the water almost, it was impossible to see into the water at all, but I'll have a look whenever I go out there and will spear that mermaid if sighted, and retrieve your lure.....:lol:1

nope sorry not me - still looking for a floatable device prefaerably one to keep me high and dry out of roodeplaat water - eish looks like green pea soup and I dont do peas very well lol

Still talking like Jeramiah the Bullfrog today but anyways.

Raggieman and myself almost made De Wet walK the the Plank on Saturday as he managed to boat both the bass and the Barbel before we could even get a hit.

The fishing was very tough Sat PM wind and the peasoup had us running around the dam somewhat looking for clean waters out of the wind. OL' Raggieman hooked a buss but the Buss had other plans so yet another lure was donated to NYAMI-NYAMI::jaws

Lgf did you get anything yesterday? Sorry I missed out - Q was very down that he could not wet a line yesterday

Did you go to the expo saterday, there was a little bass combo(2 man boat, 40lb with battery and paddle) for R8000, it was there at the true cast stand?

 diddn't look bad at all...

Got a mate who is selling his little one he is in the proccess of upgrading to a bigger one. It's a small fiberglass cat hull with padded seat cushions. Think he was after R4 or R5000-00 for it. I know he loads it with ease on a Bantam.

Yip, but DADUCKY is way bigger and after all the convertions (damn I forgot to take pics AGAIN) its now just as stable as the true cast one and I bought mine for R6200 with 30lb minn kota, Batt and charger, think I need a bigger Batt thou as the one I've got doesn't last all that long, especially once you have to make a crawl accross once and back and then having to battle the wind getting back to the shore, it's then when the engin room reports: " I CANT DU IT CAPTAIN, I JUST DUN HAV THU POUER" and out comes the oars......

Anyhow, I'm looking at getting a solid hull boat converted into a bass hunting platform like floatation device for use on the bigger dams and for the sneaking off hours of the last parts of daylight that'll get me to the hunting grounds quicker than 45minutes/1km....

I'm looking to get something that can fit into the back of a corsa bakkie with a canopy, and in the back of a car, as me and my mate are going 50/50 on the boat. So I'm looking for a duckie "wat kan afblaas".

Maybe just buy a compressor to do the hard work for me, because a handpump ain't happening.

Just a word of advise - if you can buy the boat on your ace I have seen many a good friendship ruined by fighting over who has got the boat for the weekend.
