I always have trouble finding some one to hold the spool for me at the right tention so i deside to make a line winder out of some bits and bobs i found in my garage.
First you need a old broken fishing rod and a 2 long gutter bolts,3 big washers and 2 wing nuts, also a small piece of flat steel that you can bend into a u shape.
Next drill a small hole in the rod above the winch for the bolt to go though
Bend the flat bar into a u shape and drill a hole in to the middel, then fit the gutter bolt through, slide the washer over and fasten with a nut
finish and klaar, now fit the spool of line with the last bolt and one washer on each side of the spool, now fasten the wing nut to the corect tention you want to wind the line on.
even you lighty can spool up perfectly!
