Makaira Blue 14.6ft 6-8 oz Rod

Hi All.

Currently looking for a rod targeting big-eds and also non-eds.

Do you think the Makaira Blue 14.6ft will match the targeted species?

Also, what reel would match the rod? Thinking of either a Shimano 20k reel or Daiwa BG6500?

The Makaira are very nice rods, they are well finished and cast well. No hesitation to recommend one.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Seems like the Makaira a no-brainer

On the Grinder side of things, will a Daiwa BG6500 or Shimano 20k match the rod, or should one opt for Daiwa 5000 / Shimano 10k?

Not much time last long time on grinders, but 20k shimmy be too big for edibles, and 10k shimmy be too small for in-eds...
