Not only does this little Daiwa lever drag, have lightning fast retrieve ... it also spins like a top !

In fact ... só fast, that the post heading, fused like a, blur !!!

Main challenge with most lever drags, are that they do not have the conventional cast control dial, to put some brakes on the spool speed and to add insult to injury, in most of them, the spool moves left, into the frame, when the lever is pulled back to freespool position, hiding the left flange inside the frame and making thumbing very tricky !

With very little space, inside the LH side of the frame, powerful small diameter magnets, were used, on a custom, recessed magplate.

Care was taken, to retain the factory fitted, centrifugal cast control system and with the little red factory weights, put back on the spool shaft ass, can be used either on its own (with magnets removed), or even in conjuction with the MAG-IT Magnetic Cast Control System ...

Jip .... I hand-cut and finished off two units, one was fitted to the reel and the other one as sample for CNC laser cutting stocks !
