Lure Fishing in Cape Town

I am going to be in Cape Town in mid September this year and was wondering if it is worth bring spinning rods with me. It seems that mid summer is the only worthwhile time for lure fishing in CT. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Where in CT will you be staying? and how far to you want to travel?

The West Coast / Atlantic side is in my experience too cold, that is not to say you cant try your luck, but you may be better of on the Simons Town to Gordons bay side.

What species are you thinking of targetting?

I am going to be staying in the Milnerton area and happy to target any fish that will eat a lure.
