Howdie Sealiners - can any one tell me if the charts for the new Lowrance HDS range are available yet - I am looking for the chart that covers Durban to Ponta Malongane. Is there a 3D version as well?

Navionics Platinum is promised by Lowrance in a couple of months.

Hi Dirks - no, little bit further south - closer to Danies, but deeper. If you ever in my neck of the woods - contact me. Most of the guys at Meerensee Boat Club will put you in contact with me. Not there all the time - currently working in the DRC-Congo. I added a structure scan to the HDS8 (and a better transducer - "because Fishton said so" - because as they say " hy ken sy storie"). As a fishfinder it is AWSOME. The mapping of Lowrance sucks - so I bought a Garmin 720s - and the mapping is AWSOME. I fish mostly bottoms and needed a tool that can give me better contour definition. I think I now have the perfect tools for my application.

Thanks for the info. I will be in R bay this weekend. Our club has a social bottom fishing comp running over 6,7 & 8th August. It will be hosted by RBSC though and not Meerensee. Give me your number and I will contact you on Friday eve or Saturday. I see saturday is a blow out anyway so might as well collect Wpoints for Sunday.

Hallo Dirks - man, it would have been nice to meet you - but I am sitting in Twangiza, a small town near the gold mine we are building in the DRC-Congo.
