Hi

I have two units for sale. The HDS5 bought last year from Fishton. Dual transducer 200mhz and 80Mhz with map card for the Africa East Coast (will have to check the parameters) and a Lowrance 527 GPS (200 Mhz) which I acquired with a new boat; this unit has never seen salt water. Has a Gold map card. A bit vague about the maps because I don't have them in front of me.

Price HDS5 R9,500.00 . The 527 Gps not sure what to ask. Its a 2007 model. Offers / suggestions welcome.

Reasons for selling. Want a bigger unit.

Presumably it is the LMS 527c (5" colour)!!!

Well, what unit do you want to buy? Theoretically you have 2 great units there. I'd run the LMS 527 as a GPS and the HDS as a finder. Together they equal a bigger screen than the HDS 7" screen and the HDS 8 will only be a fraction bigger. This is the set up I used on my last boat and the same I will use on the new boat.

The Gold maps as far as I'm concerned are over kill for fishing purposes. The LMS 527 is out of guarantee, dated and discontinued which mean no spares. The HDS 5 is still under warranty, this is good.

The Navioniics Gold chart you could sell separately for about R2000. The transducers I also don't want, you could sell that for about R600-R800 each. The Nautic path chart, you could sell for R800.

Based on that, I'll make you an offer of R9000 for the 2 units.

Let me know what you want to get so I can see if I can sweaten the deal.

Hi Bennie

Yup its a LMS 527cDF iGPS dual transducer. I thought about using both but now that you have said that's what you are doing I think I'll do the same; see how it works out.

Thx for the advice.

Ek het die LCX-27c Lowrance verlede maand in comp gewen - nog net so in sy box. Volgens hulle R22 000 werd. Enige offers ? Pieter 0836261601
