Hi All,

Does anyone have an idea what the elite 7hdi is going to be like and what the diffrence is between the 2 units.

I am in the marked for a new unit and i only use it on the ocean for fishing down to 100m. :ifishin

The Elite7 is a 'stand alone' unit (non-networkable) and does NOT have SideImaging, where the HDS7 is networkable to multiple display rigs, StructureScan (SideScan), SonicHub, Radar etc.

The Elite7 will become very popular in the Coastal (<5Nm) segment of the industry, especially jetskis and smaller skiboats (Category D & E). The added high Frequency 455/800kHz DownScan Imaging HD is just an awesome feature to have on any fishing boat.

Hi Fishton,

So if I am not going to do all the networking i should go with the Elite7?

I see there will be 3 Elite7 Units - Elite7x, Elite7m, Elite7 HDi combo. The one big thing I like on hds and i see Elite7 combo is the fact that you can backtrack on your sonar screen and mark a waypoint.

Now if i network Elite7x and Elite7m will i still be able to do this??

You can do this on the Elite 5 & 4 range too.
