i was approached at least 30 people wanting to know why i was the only sealine member fishing the comp,
the administrators, sponsors and organisers kept bugging me for answers as they were under impression that sealine was a very active communtiy and they were actaully expecting us to arrive in a team,

the fishing was great, i got 2 fish but fell 200grams short of a skins prize and 250grams short of 5th place, R5000

they also said that they posted an add on sealine asking members to atttend
persona;lly i have only seen members posting reffereals from other member but havent seen the add.

they were very glad to see at least 1 member there but asked if sealine could please participate next year to make the comp more proffesional...

plenty fish were caught over the 10 hours on the water, over 200 boats and 800 entries, its 1 hell of a comp. there were huge team prizes aswell, but alas sealine had no team..

please guys next years can we get some particapents, its a piss easy comp to win if you know wat you are doing, and it open so its great fun..
lets not give them idea that we are a bunch of clowns next year, or maybe in march we can make a team for the kurper comp:clow:clow:clow:clow

Whewee bud sorry you did not win some prizes...

Some of us have hectic fishing calenders (I speak for myself here) and this was my reason for not attending - Maybe next year..........

I stay far away from the "Kurper Comp" - too many peeps

its a pitty, i think you kitefisher and myself coiuld have tought them witbank croud a serouis lesson in barbel hengel, i came 16 out of 823 entries, i rekon next year ill take prizes

i tend to dissagree to a point, one obiviosly one has to be lucky to win, to catch fish and actually be counted as a succsesful fisherman, one needs to find the fish and then get them to munch that hook, of the 200 boats only 9 got fish, following water temp and dam contour plays a roll, we coulnt actually see any rises as there was so much boat pressure and wake one had to (as they say) become the fish hahahah, the guys that only had bigger fish than i did, but didnt actually catch more, and i think thats were the luck comes in, (the size of the catch)
the that were mainly fishing artlure caught bugger all., all the fish were taken on platties and chickens,..

i was so busy trying to tie my boat up to the officials boat to weigh them i couldnt bugger around with the camera i would have lost it to davey jones locker, 2 fish 1st fish=2.79kg 2nd fish 2.18kg, both small but put me in the top 20, the biggest fish of the day was only 9kg that took 1st prize
