hi

guys any one know what guarantee is there on th eloomis and franklin

rod 13ft shockwave

series

my rod split where it joins in

any idea of where i can take it back

 

as midas pinetown has closed

or if someone wants to buys it for what offers

You're not gonna have any luck with that pal.  I have the exact same rod, bought brand new from All sports in waterkant str. it split at the joint on my second cast.  Spoke to tommy cooper from akals who said he can do nothing about it.  In addition to that, small claims court is not gonna help you either because the company you bought it from is closed down.  Sorry dude, feel it with you

The agents of the L&F brand 'should' do something - just look at all the bad press they are getting here - hell I was looking at one of their rods the other day...!!!!

maybe your blanks were a bad batch ive got a loomis sharky and i swear by the rod ive pull tons of fish on it and it has never had a problem with it exept for having one cracked eye,read the trend on the loomis sharky there a guy snaped his butt at brazen head and he took his rod back and replaced it with out any fuss. with section split on your rod the male or female?

when the guys are selling them, they should give sales support afterwards, unless it is a grey import, then they should have stated that no guarantees comes with the sale.

cant believe it guys..mabe a bad batch..have mine for allmost 2 years..loomis sharky..got a zambie of 192kg last season..my biggest raggie this year 166.5kg also on the sharky..thay must sort it out and reimburse yoiu guys..cause its really awsome rods..

my loomis was bought when it was imported from america
absolutely no problem. I suppose the latest imports are from 'u no where' THATS RIGHT CHINA.

the rod in question here is the loomis shockwave 13ft not the sharky! the sharky is an OK rod. but the shockwave is a K@K ROD!

THERE IS A FISH I GOT ON MY SHARKY ON THE WEEKEND AT ROBBERG POINT WITH OUT A GAFF. THE ROD HAS AMAZING PULLING POWER

brands734, is yours custom built ... what size eye's have u got on and what size leader are u throwing also have u slid with it at all ?

mine is custom built ive had mine totaly rebuilt with a trigger winch and size 16 eyes and i throw a 1.2mm leader (notwindons) the rod matches my trini 30 purfectly. i slide and throw with mine ive thrown whole macks, whole mullet, wole chokka, bonnie heads and yellowtail heads with a 7oz sinker but when sliding i throw a 8oz normally but ive thrown 10oz with mine but theres no need to so i just throw 8-9oz

i just wish that loomis could get there act togeather because there service is shocking. ive E-mailed loomis and asked them if i could just buy the blank from them because the rod is not biult to my secs and they did not repy

in a way i wish that loomis could bring out a new rod one that has the right size eyes and a trigger winch and possibly be HMG

That rod looks great! Who built it for you? I've heard that Loomis's service is shocking, I take it you contacted Akals as they are the Agents/Owners (?) for S.A
