Loligo Squid

Hi guys,

was wondering if any of you use loligo squid as an edible bait? If you do how do you present it?
Have you had any success rigging it whole and how did you rig/present it? What edibles would you target with this bait mainly?

What I do is cut a small opening of about 1cm on the top part of the squid and then put ur float rigged hook threw there, pull it down and put the hook in the head of the squid and put some cotton over the squid to secure the squid.

Quick and easy and I normally use the whole squid if it's not to big.

Ideal bait for cob.

Guys excuse my ignorance but what is loligo squid? Is it a different specie or just small?
