LMS 527c Chip

Can anyone advise me on the "chip" that gives you the various maps for my GPS.Think its Called Navionics??

Does it work , is it worth getting one or is it just another,"come fisherman suckers give us your money".

What chip?
You must me talking about the SD card. The SD card is loaded with the mapping. There are two available maps, namely Navionics and Nautic path. You should have Nautic Path.

From Lowrance:
Nautic path "Offshore and coastal navigational marine electronic charts containing high detail mapping with depth contours, nav aids, tides and currents, & much more."

Navionics "Navionics® Electronic Charts comprise the world's largest "seamless" marine electronic chart database."

According to this Nautic path is better with more details!

Hi Walktall.

I bought a LM 527 about 3 month ago and i made a mistake.You get 2 SD Cards for for the LMS 527 the one is called a gold card and the other one is called a platinum card.Buy the platinum card i bought the gold card,the detail on the platinum card is much better.I only found this out after I paid mine.:imnew:
