Line for Sidestab 4000RE

Hi gents

Pls help with advice on line to use on this real. Somthing thats gonna be able to stand up to some Kingies and fish in that league. Heard fireline is good but niot sure of specifics. Any help wil much appreciated.:sos:

Anything between 4lb-12lb FIRELINE is good Jude. If you're going to target Kingies though, then I'd go 12-14lb. And then don't forget your Fluorocarbon leader of 20-25lb.

Hey guys

Caught a 2kg flattie with this dropshot outfit and i could not stop smilin as i thoroughly enjoyed the fight on the setup , now abt that "bus" jus gonna hav get som help if i hook into it

Jus got back from the tackle shop (mia's Randburg) got some lite stuff , not sure of what type of poppers to get ???

i bought my 4000 sidestab from them the same place
wit the berkley fireline 10lb & maxima 14lb floro carbon leader...worked excellent wit them kingies at blue lagoon

I can see something brewing here ..... and it aint beer!
If you hook one of them 20kg plus GTs with that rig you gonna have a serious workout. One of the ladies caught a small GT of about 8kg in december.... broke her fly rod like a match stick
right near the beach. Lucky I managed to grab the leader and reverse up the beach. It was one of only 3 that came out while we were there. Kingies scarse , Couta plenty.

Okay boet lets hope ur close by then !LOL. The berkley bloodworm, how well would it fare in these waters?? Guess i should throw these plugs on some heavy line.!
