So we were off to Botswana-Tuli Block this long weekend to fish the limpopo river.While the river was in floud for the last 3 weeks so Kurper fishing fishing was out of the Question.So Friday we wre off to a place called saambou brug to catch some barbel and makriel. For the Whole day we caught 11 Barbel and 50 + makriele all useing bass rods and gielies as bait.Bigest Barbel 6kg and Bigest makriel 0.9kg.
Saterday we were of to another dam wall in the area.The water bellow the dam wall were teaming with fish(Kurper,Yellows,Papierbekke,Makriel,Onderbekke). In between all manage to catch 18 barbel between and another 50+ makriele and 2 Yellows,1 Big Blue Kurper.All fun and all.Bigest Barbel 9Kg,Makriel 1.02Kg Yellow 1.5kg Kurper 2kg.I must say a big barbel on a small bass rod is lots of fun.
