shucks , HP you did Extremely well There eh ?
amazing .
My reports are always much longer, but Don't contain HALF as Much Fish as your one has .
Damn !!! You did all that From the side ?

I would also Assume you to be a sports angler , and most of these were released , so all the more reasong for you guys to be blessed with Fish into the double figures . Excellent ...

I have some of those olive jobs , same Lead heads . but to find the TIME , to experiment with them ...
On average -how often did it snag along the bottom , were you using that sort of retrieve , or was it a little Faster ??

I have a little bit of experience , but not ,much .

thanks for the report . great fishing trip .

Thanks guys!

@def
We practise catch and release, hence all the snaps! My dad taught us from a young age to conserve and protect and the feeling of watching your catch swim away after a good fight and knowing someone else will have the same pleasure in catching it justifies these lessons!(but in saying that, we do sometimes keep 1 sizer for the braai during our weekend stay in Witsand)

We don't own a boat, so all our catches are made from the side. When exploring new areas and targeting the kobbies we do get snagged a lot when bumping the minnow slowly along the bottom. Some days the kobbies feed aggressively and we get them along with the leeries on fast retrieves. Luckily by now we know where to fish for what at Witsand and which retrieves to use at what spot, so we tend to lose minnows to fish destroying them rather than the usual river bottom!
