Hi Misguide

No need to weld the aliminium, just join the aliminium piping with proper inserts. A good friend of mine makes and sells aliminium H Frames.

Will try and post a pic soon of the frame he build me ...

Took my Aluminium L-Frame - removed the flimsy box it was bought with and replaced it with a sturdy Ammo Box:

hey angus,

looks good!

i think i must give an alum fram a bash - i got plenty alum as i built myself a cart for the beach - the cart dont work so well as you end up overloading it as it pulls fairly easy - problem is 5km down the beach it not so fun anymore!

Thats a plan ...I am sure once you strip that cart you will have enough Alum to build quiet a few Frames !!!!! :hyst:

 

Damn that cart on teh beach of Mappies was a sight !!!! ::respekt:

i still have nightmare about that cart - i think the only way for me to get any form of reconciliation is to take the cart apart:swear

Great frame set-up you have there!!

Would you mind revealing what size box you attached there? I have a 42lt but think its too big? Should I settle for a 36lt?
