Hi guys i'm still trying to find my way with this whole specimen carping thing, so please be patient with me. My pegmate and i were talking about the leadcore leaders. We came to the conclusion that it is way to expensive at the moment because we really need to get a lot of stuff. So to save costs a boer made a plan!
I came up with the following idea: Take 30lb dacron, splice it, and insert a piece(1inch) of soldering wire into the dacron, to make it lie flat on the bottom. The sinker can still go over it in case the line parts.
In stead of using the tubing where the sinker sits we made some tubes with heatshrink(works like a charm).
We also used size 6 snap swivels, removed the svivel and only used the snap. We will get some valve tubing to slide over the snap, to prevent tangling.
Please give your comments on how to save money while still doing everything properly? As well as what you think of our ideas?
