Hi Sealiners!
As promised here is a small report on the Latham Comp of this year. The comp was held on the 25th and 26th of September. It is organized by the Dar Es Salaam Yacht club and was extremely well organized. On Friday night there is the skippers briefing incl all the rules and regulations.
This event is a charity event and the cathes and winnings go to this cause. We set off Friday night at 12pm towards Latham which is just over 40nm. The first day is lines in at 06:00, you have to be within 5nm of Latham Island. Lines out at 17:00. This is the lovely boat which I had the privelage of fishing from. She is a 38 Ft Sportfisher called Black Widow. She normally operates from Hemingways in Kenya.
