Last saterday I was fortunate enough to catch this big papermouth on a ghielierig, this is the first papermouth caught on artlure in about 20 years! Unfortunately I hooked it below the mouth a little behind the eye. It was about 30 com long and would have been my new PB papermouth. At least it gave me a good fight.

A fish have to be hooked infront of the eye to count in a comp. Papermouth use to be a very common catch, some people even considered them a pest. But these days its the complete opposite. If you catch a papermouth you are very lucky. They are caught more often on bait, but sometimes we get them on artlure - spinners and curlytail grubs. In my whole life I have not even managed to catch 20 papermouth, though most of the dams I regularly fish are suppose to have papermouth.
