MY neighbour took his son fishing at langebaan this past weekend, left brackenfell at 3:30 am to get to the spot first. got there, lines in at about 5:30am, he was soon joined by some other anglers. so, another group came waltzing down the hill towards him, with their portable braai etc, and proceded to stand right in front of him! now the funny thing is that the same group did the same thing to him on the same spot, 2 weeks ago.

anyways, they had some words and the whole experience was spoilt for his son.

oh ja, another group of locals arrived after them and sood right on them aswell with more than enough space on the left and right! most of these okes cannot cast straight to save their lives, now add a 40km south easter and a strong current...

its the same group of customers that keep doing it, over and over..

if you are on sealine, i would advise you to stop doing it, i will be with him next time, then we can have a proper chat about it.

irritates the crap out of me when people does that, they do the same things when you fishing the dams or rivers.

You have been there for one or two days already and then they pitch left and right on top of you

dis net die houding waarmee hulle dit ok doen, groet nie, kom druk net in... hulle sal gewoonlik so 5 minute wag hier agter jou, en dan skuif hulle een vir een voor en tussen jou in. blerrie belaglik

he is hardegat enough, but still, you dont want crap like this.
they even told him that they come from strandfontein and that entitles them to fish there., so he told them the hes from brackenfell, also far.
the difference is he got up at 3am and they got up at 7am...

Don't even get me started on this....I so wished I had my heavy tackle with  on Sunday. This one idiot was doing exactly this. One 6oz between the shoulder blades....

That's why it's called "silly season"...........................

I feel very sorry for the geniune oks that come from far in the holiday season and get treatment like above, but stories like this just enforce my reasoning to rather stay away and keep my blood pressure under control.

Right opposite the "Palletjies" clse to the Island is a buoy in red.The jetski guys may not cross that buoy to the south.They are just allowed to launch between the Palletjies and then move away from the shore...they are not allowed to get close to the fishing lines and stiff fines have been issued in the past.According to Parks Board,they will take no nonsence from these guys this season and request anybody to phone them with any complaint whatsoever at 022-7722144 and they will sort the problem out right away!...make use of it and save this number now on your phone.

Jetskis Ive hit a oke 1ce and never seen him the rest of the hoilday

Palletjies take a grab sinker and cast straight over all the ilnes infront of you what ever you pull out cut off

Make suer you have someone to back you

Had the same experience there once before and never been back to that spot when it even looks slightly busy. Just ruins the outing!

Doesn't only happen at langebaan though... no respect for others and common decency. Its these same people that never release an under size fish nor stick to quotas and leave a mess.

Guys I know the jetski guys gets the blood boiling ,

 

Please just temeber there is some of us on jetski's that actually fish of them and is not there to make a nusance of ourselfs

 

Because of the idiots making trouble everywhere, we that fish of our ski's are classified the same way as the rest

 

I will be on the water soon again in langebaan with my Jetski and i have never caused any problems for anybody

I'm there to fish the same as the rest of the guys on the boats , all i ask is don't just assume all the jetski users are the same

I am wondering if this place is visklip,on the left hand side of the yacht club,if so these okes are fond of standing on the rocky outcrop thats a couple of metres in the water. Ek sal like om te sien a mole slang daar by hulle inkruip,dan sien ons wie huil vir hulle mammies,en daar is a paar groot slange op daai krans !!!

Jy is reg. Daar is mense wat ander respekteer. Die hele Lagoon is oop vir mense met bote, maar sommige gun ander niks. Hulle gaan lê net daar waar die mense van die kant af kan gooi. Die res van die lagoon is oop. Gaan lê daar en los die mense wat van die kant vang in vrede. Gun hulle ook ñ vis.

BEDAGSAAMHEID: Die toets is eenvoudig. Wat sal jy maak as iemand anders dit aan jou doen. As dit jou sou ontstel, MOET DIT NIE DOEN NIE!!!!!!! GEE PAD????????///

had a similar thing at paaltjies when the fish came on the bite, this oke started throwing over our lines.

ons moet hulle maniere leer.

Was daar Vrydag/Saterdag ongeveer 2uur om prawns te pomp vir Ertshawe comp,ouens in voertuig gesit en wag ook vir laagwater.Ek en Kaptein het uit ``buddieship`` n geselsie aangeknoop met  genoemde``hengelaar/plunderaars,Kan julle glo een ou 40 stompies gevang-gebragg wat skrik vir niks.Daarindan by Langebaan polistasie voertuig se registrasie CF..... gaan aanmeld uitkoms -weet nie gaan opque voor ertshawe

DIT MAAK JOU KWAAD,VAN DAAI VIS OF TEN MINSTE OORGROTE MEERDERHEID WAS ONDER 20cm DAN NOEM JY JOU N HENGELAAR

Dit help ook nie dat mens n paar tree eenkant toe skuif nie ,sodra jy iets vang is hulle weer bo-op jou en hulle is die span war bierbottels daar stukend gooi ook.:swear:swear:swear om nie eers te praat van mors nie en dan staan daar n vullisdrom reg lang hulle maar alle gemors word net so op die grond/rotse en in die water gegooi.Dit is diegene wat deur die wetstoepassers vasgevat en somme die baan belet moet word.:fbash
