You have recovered, you have given pleasure to jets, skis and kites, but enough is enough you`re main aim is to have the soothing feelings of anglers stroling on your beaches and we are coming Langebaan!!!

Last night an 11,7kg yellow tail was caught on the line with a pilchard on a semi floating line-now this is a record in terms of the Langebaan yacht club records.Man this is a big fish. The catch was made at 07h15 .Stumps are coming out in much bigger sizes at all the favourite spots and at night elf and cob also show.

The blue water has moved to 45km out and small ski boats are actually still going out fishing in 500m of water and gettin tuna of about 15 kg.

Today Thurs the wind (almost nothing)starts wit North, turning to West ,only a breeze this afternoon.Friday, calm in the morning and 25k/h in the afternoon.Sat will see  a fresh soth wind of 30k/m in the afternoon, quiet in the morning and on Sun almost no wind, only a S/WE breeze.Pump prawn as from 06h00 to 09h00 that`s low tide area.

Kolstert at Leentjiesklip and stump, stump at paaltjies and yacht club, smooths at the Spit and early morning/night elf and cob as south as possible.Don`t forget some red bait and white mussel, less takes, but bigger stumps.Change your bait a lot.

Don can update you about Spreeuwalle,I had no news.Go and wet a line you will catch this weekend-God bless you with stywe lyne.

Could any one tell me if you are permitted to pump prawns at the spit?
ye s you may but there are no prawns there you rather go next to the san parks office and south towards the yaught club wait for the low and wade in about 20 metres or so the bigger ones are deep so you have to get you r ppump all the way to the bootom , feel for soft sand as this are produces the best results .give me a shout if you have hassels im planning to fish sat morn and will pump  prawn as well i could shhow you where gonna be at the lagoon by 0600 -don 0834091605

Thanks Don you are perfectly correct, just now returned from the Baan and with the Northerly wind, reports have it that Spreeuwalle is not productive. There might be some drissel tomorrow morning, but the wind is changing to West and then South/West and by tomorrow evening will be calm-a good sign for nite fishing, but on Sat afternoon it is going to pick up to 40k/h and Sun should be light winds again-take this number for the Baan:0822311641-it`s updated at noon every day and helps me a lot.

As said at the begining of this post,Sunday is your fishing day at the Baan.Saterday will see fresh S/W of 35kph,but Sunday will have a light breeze of South.Reports come in of Elf everywhere, slightly small during the day ,but fairly big when dark and note an hour before the tide turns, after the turn the elf go somewhere else, but then the cob will be there-anyway elf is all over.Stumps are still everywhere in the 1kg range.

Water temp has gone up to 22deg on the line and Kraalbaai area and every night good size Cob and elf come out-geelstert and geelbek are also caught.Very strange indeed.Reports of a terrible red tide seen coming in from Lambertsbaai area-it`s said the water looks like blood.
