So after a few months my dad managed to wet a line at laguna( just south of blue lagoon). He got tired of every tom,dick and harry telling him of the mother size shad that were being caught and wanted a piece of the action. First thing he noticed was how close the boats were to shore and fish were being smashed within casing distance. Put a small redfish out, no enquiries, same with sardine. Eventually put a prawn and got a 40cm bonefish riddled with bitemarks. Gonna try its fillets for shad next trip.
